“My husband and I got pregnant on our first time trying, but unfortunately lost that baby when I was 12 weeks pregnant. We were told we needed to have 3 consecutive losses before any testing could be done to try to determine the cause. I was also told my history of labs showing positive TPO antibodies (indicating the start of Hashimotos) would absolutely not have been the cause. We were repeatedly told that the baby likely had a chromosomal issue that would have happened at random and was more than likely nothing we could do to prevent it from happening again, that it was just a matter of chance. This was not an answer we were willing to accept because we couldn’t fathom walking through another loss like we did without doing everything in our power to set ourselves up for a positive pregnancy experience and outcome. Western doctors were of no help, so we turned outward and started making lifestyle changes along with me starting acupuncture. I immediately felt understood, validated, and at peace while explaining to Caitria what we had been through. I learned how to track my basal body temperature and started seeing symptomless cycles for the first time ever. I learned the true importance of fueling my body, replenishing blood, and resting. I had more energy and felt more at peace with what we had been through. Our first time trying to conceive again after a few months of consistent treatments and hard work, I got pregnant. I continued with treatments my entire pregnancy and in April 2023 our daughter was born. Acupuncture was able to help alleviate the nausea I had for a week and I felt pretty energized throughout my pregnancy. I heard very often that I didn’t even seem pregnant because of how much energy I had and how good I seemed to feel. It also helped prepare my body and mind for labor. My daughter was born exactly on her due date and I was in active labor for only 2.5 hours and pushed for only 7 minutes. Our daughter just turned one year old and we are forever grateful because without Connected Healing, I don’t know that I would have had such a great pregnancy, labor, and healthy baby. We now bring our daughter for treatments as well and wholeheartedly believe she is a healthier, happier, and more peaceful baby for it.”
